No moo milk

I am beginning to suspect that Evie may have a sensitivity to something I’m eating. She’s had a bad case of baby acne for a couple of weeks now, but in the last few days it has become a lot more severe, making me wonder if it’s a rash or excema or something. Coupled with that, she has been really fussy for the last couple of days and very stuffed up. Could be a cold. Could be normal baby fussiness. Could be a food thing. The first two shall pass. If it’s food, I figure I better start trying to fix it now. So I am embarking on a new adventure… eliminating dairy from my diet. Apparently the most common food sensitivity is to dairy proteins, so that seems the best place to start.

Kicking off my dairy-free experiment meant spending the better part of a pay check at the neighborhood Whole Foods. I came home with a couple of bags of groceries, mainly all the dairy-free junk food I could find, and a dazed look on my face.

It has taken me three days to write this post, seeing as I haven’t had any long enough block of time to use the computer in ages. As it turns out, Evie’s rash is not from a dairy intolerance. But I’m still going to avoid dairy because she does seem to be less fussy. And all that dairy-free junk food is pretty tasty.
